As all life knew energy to be feeling and that feeling comes in many shapes and sizes, each special form of life took on its own individual energy. Trees, grass, animals and rocks all took certain shapes and sizes.  Each tree, grass, animal and rock then chose its own individual energy to radiate from its being.

Some chose peace, joy or love.
Others choosing red, blue or green.
Still others choosing ancient knowing or magical wisdom.
All equal, all wonderful and all harmonizing with all others around them, each tree, grass, animal and rock sharing its special part of that deep connectiveness.

As we, in the here and now, chose to experience energy, we begin to recognize these special personality traits of each.

As we, in the here and now, begin to allow these beings of life to speak, we can recognize their special purpose in our lives.

Each tree, grass, animal and rock carries a deeply implanted, richly ingrained memory of the beginning times.  Each shares with us these memories as we open to their story and their inherent life force. 

Trees speak load and clear if we sit and listen.  Grasses a bit softer but are readily available for conversation.  Animals present themselves at the time when we are ready and carry powerful messages for those who are open to hear.

As for rocks, in the beginning times, they volunteered for a much harder life. (Pun intended!) Though they would not be hunted or cut down they would be looked at as not living.  This was a sad thing. This is a sad thing. 

Life manifests in all things. ALL things vibrate with life. Therefore rocks, too, have a message and energy and can speak to us. 

Now, much has been written of late on crystals and gemstones and rocks of clear beauty.  These are special rocks.  But let us speak of the plain, ordinary rocks we see in our world everyday. 

Each rock holds a chosen energy.  Each rock has a message.  And it will be through our inner voice, through our eyes recognizing images on its surface or in its shape that a rock will speak to us. 

Rocks will often appear to us as animals or with human likenesses. These are very common feelings for rocks to manifest in humans. Through the rocks own energy emission we recognize similar traits to other life forms such as humans and bears, we make the unconscious connection and see these things in the rock.  This is the voice of the rock speaking to us through energy.

When we allow our inner voice to speak, when we allow our ears to hear or eyes to see through our heart, we connect with these ancient energies.  When we connect with the voices of the rocks, when we feel, hear and touch their beingness, we can smile with joy of our knowing we have tuned into an ancient life force speaking to us through our connectedness to all that is.

So next time you look at a tree and feel at peace know you have connected with that tree, the next time you see a hawk fly over head thank it for it's presence in your life and ask for its message. 

And the next time you pick up a rock and see a turtle, elephant or bear know that you have connected with an ancient energy that has been available throughout all time and your own openness to hear and feel has made the connection possible.
